I have been learning how to blend colors because we needed it for our art .

Firstly I had to get a picture of myself and trace it to make the main features of the picture then mix colors to match  my skin tone and then I added the blue paper then I was finished.

I found it tricky to not mess up because when I finished there was a lot of paint on the edges. I found it easy trace because all we had to do was draw on a line.

My 2021 goals

I have been learning to use canva so we could make our goals into a video.

Firstly I had to think of three achievements and then make a video saying' these are my achievements for 2021 ' then add a background and a font that said 2021.then i'm finished.

I enjoyed adding the pictures in because I got to use my imagination. I found it tricky to decide what the third achievement was but in the end I got it.

Today we have been learning to shade and blend colours because it was time to do our  calendar art.

Firstly I had to watch a video to choose my bird and then I had to outline the bird, make a circle for the sun and color it in and dyed my art and then added sheet paper with glue. I enjoyed making my patterns because they look like fire. I found it tricky to dye it because i found it hard to blend.

Today we have been learning about 3D shapes. We had to learn this for maths.

Firstly for this task i had to watch 2 videos about how to draw 3D shapes and letters.

I enjoyed drawing the shading because I think I'm good at shading. I found it tricky to   make the shapes because I kept on messing it up. 

 

Why homework should be banned

Today I have been learning to write a speech because speeches are coming around the corner. Firstly for this task I had to think of a topic and my topic was why homework should be banned. Then I had to learn to write a speech and we spent 1 to 2 weeks and that's how I made my speech.
I enjoyed finding facts about why homework should be banned. I found it tricky to write at least 5 or 6 sentences and to pick my topic.

Why homework should be banned

Do you like homework? Do you like being bored in your house doing homework? Think to yourself about what you could be doing after school like learning life skills rather than being stressed about homework. These are my reasons why homework should be banned.

Firstly in 2013, Stanford University has proven that too much homework was proven to have side effects such as stress, health problems and a lack of balance in life. Which would be pretty difficult to handle.

Secondly in a class most likely 70% of the class are stressed which is a really high percentage. That's only the second reason why homework should be banned!

Lastly, when you come back from school other than developing life skills like cooking, communication, decision making and problem solving which could make your life much healthier.#

I think that homework should be banned because of health problems, stress and having a disadvantage in life.

My spelling test

Today we have been practicing our spelling because we haven't been  doing it for a long time.

First i had to pick my words to put in my test and a spelling game. Next I had to complete 4 out of 7 slides for our spelling test.

I enjoyed editing the staircase slide because it was easy and cool. I found it tricky to  make my art cloud because when I finished I didn't know how to put it in .

 And I did that by writing down a sentence  in each box about my learning. 

 I enjoyed writing down the words because it was quick and easy. I found it challenging to think back because I'm not that good at remembering everything.

 First i had to watch a video and do some research then place them in my google drawing then add some pictures and change the colours. I enjoyed finding the facts and I got to learn lots of new things as well .

Today we learnt to apply knowledge by reading some books on birds. First i had to pick what i had to do from a slideshow which had 7 options. i chose to make a slide with a bird dodging obstacles.

 I enjoyed making the slide because it was easy. I found it tricky not to mess up because I had to press the arrow keys a certain amount of times on each to move on the next slide.

All about plastic Today we have been learning about plastic by reading a book. First i had to read the book then write what i thought about plastic and it was easy. I enjoyed writing down what I thought because it was my opinion based on the story i read. I found it tricky to write all of my writing because it took awhile thanks.

My nature art

My enviro art work Today we have been learning about Andy Goldsworthy and his nature art by watching his videos.

 First I had to watch the videos then I had to find my canvas which was the grass and my resources which were roses, some sort of an orange plant with seeds and daisys. I enjoyed laying down all of my flowers into a heart shape and it felt like I was decorating a nature cake. I found it tricky to decide what I was going to make and what flowers I should use.

 First i had to find synonyms for the word faith like trust and then put it into my word cloud then change the color and shape.

 I enjoyed finding the words because I found some new ones that I know the meaning of. I found it tricky to find lots of words.

 Today we have been learning by watching a video about how Maui found his father .We had a lot of options to choose from, like make a story digitally,draw it or write it and there were loads more . I decided to make a picture.

Do you know how a spider's food chain works ? Today we have been learning to apply knowledge. We learnt how to apply knowledge by reading two books about spiders. We had three options to choose from; their habitat, their body parts and the food chain. And I chose how a spider's food chain works. Then i had to read two pieces of writing and watch a video. After that I had to place all our information onto a slide. Do you want to learn more about Japan? We have been learning a lot about Japan. We first had to find all the facts and lay them down by reading 3 books. For example from my research I found out that 30 percent of the people in Japan participate in karate. I then made the presentation template to put information about what I've learnt about Japan. I used themes of Japan for backgrounds and changed the fonts. I had to make the front page look as amazing as possible so i tried to be creative.Please comment below what I can change and i'll be open to taking your advice.

 

Measurement golf course

 Today we have been learning about measurement and how to find the area and the perimeter because it was our next step in maths. We even got to listen to a rap. I think it helped lots of people in my class.First we had to line up the grass with the squares and added some props to make it look awesome. After that we counted the outsides of the square and times them then we filled the boxes at the bottom we are finished and now for how to find the area and the perimeter first you got to look at the object that you want to use and look at the side like where my numbers are that is the perimeter.Now for the area its inside the perimeter so you could count the squares then times them that's how i did mine bye and blog ya later.

 

Matariki scratch

 Today we were learning how to code and making a matariki scratch game. I found it tricky to  code  because i haven't used scratch much. I chose a star character and a bear  for fun and i put them on the moon because stars are close to the moon and added cheese puffs so they could fight over it.Next time i would change the character and the story line. The only thing that was easy was to add in the character and add in the speech bubbles.I would add the cheese puffs flying an matariki catching it and more because i haven't finished it. Blog ya later.

Today our class was learning about covenants. A covenant is a sacred agreement, in the rap you listen to the different types of a covenant . First we had to write our lyrics down in a document. Have you heard of Abraham and Sarah if not click here Today we were learning about Abraham and Sarah because it was our weekly religious education time. Firstly we had to write our script we wanted it to be funny and tell a story but we were short of people to play all the roles so we had two groups team up. After we did our script that took pretty long we practised it and then we tried it for real and at the end i think it turned out pretty good but the hardest part was to speak loud for our whole team except Barbra. You've probably made a mother's day card, but have you seen this one

Today we were learning how to weave and make a card because it was close to mother's day. Also it was an exciting day because we were in our pj's while making our cards. We used white string to weave through and across all the holes that I made at the beginning of our art. The hardest part was a little bit hard. I had to to weave through the holes with thick tape but over that it was enjoyable. I enjoyed making this Past Present and Future slides because I got to see olden day stuff.  We were learning to compare past things and what they look like now. Next time I would change the pictures because i'm sure there are a lot more. I found it tricky to think of the images.

 We've been learning about anzac day because well It's anzac day and we made this because to show you how the mail was.First I made a square then I made a triangle, turned It upside down then put it on the top like It was a flip . Then put a red circle on the top to make It like a stamp or a sticker.After that I put a white square then used the line tool to make the rips and put them on each side. Then made them the colour of mail so It would look more real. When I was close to the end I put my writing on the white square then added a rip to make you read It .Please comment on what I should change.

I can smell the fresh and salty sea and a BBQ on a boat  that passed by. I can also smell the fresh air.

I can see the crooked jagged cliffs. I see millions of moss like a hoard of zombies and the trees swishing like basketball hoops. The trees were also like the big loud swishes from the waves.

In my head I can hear the shivering boat engine revving and the hard wind blowing me away.In my hands I can feel the circled ruff bushes and the freezing cold water.

My taste buds can't taste the salty crispy chicken.

Today we were learning about holy by making this reef. This reef tells the story of holy week. I am proud of my art because i did it with an broken arm. Next time i would change the colours now i'll be sharing the story when Jesus enters jerusalem the crowd spread leaves and clothing they all shouted hosanna in the highest!The last supper Jesus took the bread and said, take this bread and eat it as it is my body.Jesus prays in gethsemane it says he fell on his face and prayed  if it is possible take this cup but drink it from me but will pass as you.Jesus is crucified Jesus yeled, my god my god why have you forsaken me. The resurrection of jesus says he is not here for he has risen. The ascension of Jesus the cloud lifts him up out of sight. The holy spirit comes down and there  appeared to them tongues as of fire resting on each one of them and were filled with the holy spirit finished ok bye i'll be posting later
